The Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) in New Delhi oversees a network of forty national laboratories, including the Central Electro Chemical Research Institute. CECRI was established on July 25, 1948, at Karaikudi, Tamil Nadu, and became operational in January 1953.
With over 600 employees, including scientists, engineers, technologists, skilled laborers, administrative staff, and other staff, CECRI has established itself over the past fifty years as the leading institution for research and development in electrochemical science and technology in both India and South East Asia. Its combined laboratory space is 400,000 sq ft (37,000 m2).

Stipend :-
- Graduate Apprentices: Rs 9,000/- pm
- Diploma Apprentices: Rs 8,000/- pm
- ITI Apprentices: Rs 7,700 – 8,050/- pm

Diploma/Degree Apprentice :
- Diploma/Degree Pass in Relevant Discipline
- Note :- Graduate/ Technician candidates should have passed the qualifying exam in 2020/2021/2022/ 2023 are only eligible.

- Age Relaxation:

Candidates belonging to PWD Categories shall be given age relaxation up to 10 years (up to 15 years for SC/ST and upto13 years for OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) Candidates.
