Today marks the 91st anniversary of the Indian Air Force. 72 years after a comparable exercise was carried out, the IAF will present its new ensign at the annual Air Force Day parade in Prayagraj on Sunday to better reflect its principles.
“October 8 will be remembered as a significant day in IAF history. The Chief of Air Staff will reveal the new IAF ensign on this historic day, according to the IAF.

The British Empire founded the Indian Air Force, also known as Bharatiya Vayu Sena, in the nation on October 8, 1932. On April 1, 1933, six RAF-trained officers and 19 Havai Sepoys (air troops) formed the first operational squadron. There were four Westland Wapiti IIA army cooperation biplanes in the inventory, serving as the “A” flight core of the envisioned No. 1 (Army Co-operation) Squadron at Drigh Road.
India joined the British Commonwealth as a Republic in January 1950, and the Indian Air Force got rid of its “Royal” designation.

Today, a large air show will take place in the Sangam area, where numerous aircraft will display their capabilities, including the extremely opulent and contemporary Chinook, Chetak, Jaguar, Apache, and Rafale.
Up until 2021, the parade was customarily held at the Hindon airbase outside of Delhi. After that, the event was moved elsewhere. Last year, it took place in Chandigarh.
